Advocates say UBI in Canada needs to be ironed out

Many Canadians are short on cash due to Covid-19. Talks of universal basic income for all Canadians have begun, but advocates aren’t sure how to successfully implement it.

Mark Nichols of Fight for $15 and Fairness NL, a minimum wage advocacy group, believes a UBI cannot replace Canada’s current social programs.
