Strength and Perseverance: Celebrating Black History Month, an event that takes place in the Rooms this Friday, Feb. 24, aims to promote cultural understanding.

While Newfoundland doesn’t have the largest Black population in Canada, one Black woman’s contributions have been changing the lives of the youth for more than 20 years.

Their goal is to offer an accessible and an approachable way to engage with queer literature.
