‘Marching Into Spring’ at St. John’s Farmers’ Market

While Newfoundland doesn’t have the largest Black population in Canada, one Black woman’s contributions have been changing the lives of the youth for more than 20 years.

Performance spaces such as the Gower Street United Church create inclusive environments for the province’s most emotive music.

Community members and staff say that a National Day for Truth and Reconciliation is a good start, but more top-down action is needed.
