Flying not so high

With much of Newfoundland’s economy linked to the Airline Industry, the Tourism sector could suffer.

Due to the COVID-19 outbreak, Airlines have had to make drastic cuts in order to stay afloat. Tourism is a major industry in Newfoundland and Labrador. However, it is reliant on airline services in order to stay viable. With recent announcements by WestJet and Air Canada that they’re cutting some flights to the province, the province’s tourism industry is in a delicate position.
